If you want to spring a rose on a girl as a surprise at the end of a date how do you keep it from wilting?

Kinda lame question I know but I want to surprise this girl with a rose at the end of our date and I cant just put it in my car, I'm sure it'll wilt, dry out, or die. I thought about putting a cooler of ice back there t thats kinda Creepy dont you think? Please help me out haha
