What's wrong with my throat/voice!? hard mucus build up/trouble talking and breathing!?

I am 23, every year for the past 10 years or so around winter time (usually) i get a cold; runny nose, couph, the usual. But then after the cold goes away i don't get my voice back. My voice is at it's worst in the mornings because of the extreme mucus build up in my throat, it's not normal mucus it is dark green and really really hard sometimes with a little blood and i have a lot of trouble getting it out of my throat. I don't have a couph at this point but i need to cough to get it up. Throughout the day i randomly lose my voice again and sometimes i can couph it out of the way but other times i have to whisper for hours. This usually goes on for weeks!!! What can i do? I cannot afford a doctor! And I've done plenty of googling all i can find is that this is similar to bronchitis, but it's not bronchitis because i don't have a cough!. :/
