Is Mel Gibson Republican or Democrat?

It's difficult to say. He seems to be following the path of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in the anti semite rhetoric though, so he could be a Democrat. There has been conjecture that he would be a good replacement for Gov. Schwarzenegger, but that is unsubstantiated.
