Do we die when some asteroid hit the planet earth?

you? maybe not directly but probably, however the human race will probably survive but it really depends on the size, if the asteroid is a few hundred miles in diameter will most likely block out the sum and destroy around half of the earth and its life but life in general will most likely survive most likely bacteria. if its small and hits a ocean it will cause a pretty big tsunami but that will not do too much harm
