Help writing a diary for english?

So i have to write an interesting diary with a story line but i don't no how to make it interesting and also i have to use similes and metaphors and so on but im crap at stuff like that so i was wondering if someone could help me write an interesting diary hints and stuff thanks. its part of my course work
