Will accountants be overtaken by technology????

So I've wanted to be an accounting forever! In about 4 months I will be finally be a freshman in college and my desire is to major in accounting. However someone has brought to me that accountants may not be in demand much longer because its being replaced by technology. So I asked the question to people in this field or may know anything about it. Judging the way things are going right now do you think this is true even if I obtain my cpa license?
